Baptism
In Holy Baptism our gracious heavenly Father sets us free from sin and death by joining us to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. At Holy Trinity we baptize infants as a sign that Baptism is a gift of God and nothing we could ever hope to earn.
Baptisms are held during worship services because Baptism is a public sign of God's love — because it's through Baptism that we're adopted into the family of God, the family needs to meet those we Baptize! At Baptism our congregation promises to teach each child the Lord's Prayer, the beliefs of the Church, the Ten Commandments, place in their hands the Holy Scriptures, and provide for their instruction in the Christian faith. To be faithful to our promise, we need to share our life in Christ, as we pray, play, learn and work together.
Baptisms are scheduled with Pastor Percy after a brief series of discussions about the sacrament. Provisions are made for children, youths and adults of any age.
